The Omsk Reference Center of Rosselkhoznadzor has developed specifications for livestock by-products for 182 enterprises in the region

Most of the applications came from farms with cattle (more than 90%). Applications are also accepted from farms for breeding horses, small cattle, pigs, birds and rabbits.

In addition, laboratory specialists conducted 646 samples of animal by-products. The Testing Center received 51 samples to check for safety indicators. it should be noted that all samples meet the requirements of regulatory documents.

As a reminder, on March 1, Federal Law No. 248-FZ of July 14, 2022 “On livestock by-products and on amendments to certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation” came into force in RUSSIA, which made it possible for farmers to independently determine which type of substances formed during keeping farm animals - to "animal waste" or to "animal by-products". Farmers had to submit notification of the decision to the Office of the ROSSELKHOZNADZOR for the Omsk region by May 1.

Animal by-products include substances produced by animal husbandry, including manure, manure, bedding and runoff. Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of October 31, 2022 No. 1940, which also entered into force on March 1, establishes the requirementsto the handling of animal by-products during storage, processing, processing, transportation, sale and use of substances in agricultural production. The document establishes standards for the content of toxic elements and pesticides in processed and processed livestock by-products. The presence of pathogenic and pathogenic microorganisms and parasites is not allowed. Compliance with the requirements must be confirmed by the results of studies conducted by a laboratory accredited in the national accreditation system. The use and sale of animal by-products is carried out on the basis of technical specifications.
