
As part of the import substitution program, the Federal State Enterprise Shchelkovsky Biocombine has increased product supplies to both the domestic and international markets.
The company produced more than 1.3 billion doses of vaccines against various animal diseases. The largest increase occurred in the poultry and pig farming segments.
FKP Shchelkovsky Biokombinat produces more than 40 types of medicinal and diagnostic preparations for animals and birds.
The plant's products are exported to more than 20 countries worldwide. The company is actively working to expand its product range and register new drugs abroad. Over the past 5 years, five new veterinary drugs have been registered and introduced into civil circulation. Among them are vaccines against infectious rhinotracheitis, viral diarrhea, parainfluenza-3 and respiratory syncytial infection of cattle (BOVIVAC-4), classical swine fever (Pestostop), as well as vaccines "Foxoral" (for oral immunization of wild carnivores), "Resvak" (against porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome) and "Ausvak" (against Aujeszky's disease).
Active work is being carried out with universities, the company has opened and is actively operating a basic department of "Biotechnology", 37 agreements have been concluded with universities on targeted training, and over the past three years, 26 graduates of leading veterinary universities have found work at the company.
