Imports of MEAT in RUSSIA In 2021, Russia imported about 548 thousand tons of meat worth 1.5 billion dollars. The main import volumes are poultry meat - it makes up about 44% of all meat imports to Russia. The import of cattle meat is about 39% of the total import of meat, and the share of pork does not exceed 1.5%. Even less mutton is imported - no more than 0.5% of all meat imports. The main suppliers of meat to Russia are Belarus (38%), Brazil (24%), Paraguay (17%), Argentina (8%) and Kazakhstan (4%). The share of other suppliers in total does not exceed 10%.

In 2021, Russia exported more than 530 thousand tons of meat worth $1.16 billion. Poultry meat accounts for the bulk of exports - it accounts for more than half of all meat exports from Russia. Pork exports account for about 24% of all meat exports, while the share of beef does not exceed 10%. Even less mutton is exported - no more than 1% of all meat exports. The main consumers of Russian meat are CHINA (27.5%), Vietnam (19%), Ukraine (13%), Kazakhstan (8.5%), Belarus (7.9%) and Saudi Arabia (6.3%) . Also, a relatively significant share is made up of deliveries to Kyrgyzstan (2.4%), Hong Kong (2%) and Mongolia (1.8%)
