The volume of gross output of the agro-industrial complex of Dagestan for 2022 amounted to 186.4 billion rubles

“Over the past year, rice growers of the republic have achieved results of about 140 thousand tons of rice. In this direction and for this year we are building certain plans. As for horticulture and vegetable growing, as you know, South Dagestan is famous for horticulture. Every year the area under gardening there increases. Now large investment projects are working there, such as LLC Polosa, LLC Anzhelina, the Farm Farm Sad and a number of other enterprises, where we collected more than 200 thousand tons of fruits.   

I want to note that 2,094.2 million rubles were allocated from the budget to support the agro-industrial complex of the republic, and they are fully mastered by 100%. And for the current year, state support in the field of agro-industrial complex of the republic has been approved in the amount of more than 2.5 billion rubles,” the minister said.

Mukhtarbiy Adzhekov also said that last year 168,000 hectares of grain and leguminous crops were sown in the republic. Also, in recent years, 2,623 hectares of nut crops have been planted, including 2,333 hectares of hazelnuts and 290 hectares of walnuts, and 4,655 jobs have been created. With regard to agricultural machinery, the HEAD of the department noted that last year the agrarians of the republic purchased 309 units of agricultural machinery. The total cost of the purchased equipment is 668 million rubles.

 According to the minister, in the livestock sector, there is also significant dynamics, but at the same time, there are still unresolved issues. During the current year, the slaughter of livestock and poultry in live weight amounted to 265.6 thousand tons, MILK - 940.1 thousand tons, wool - 14.5 thousand tons, 234.8 million eggs were produced.

“Regarding the milk yield in the republic, I want to say that in 2022, 4,045 kg of milk per cow was produced in the farms of the republic, which is 104.8% of the figure for 2021. The production of goats and sheep in live weight amounted to 75.4 thousand tons, in slaughter weight - 37.4 thousand tons, which is 12.7% more than in 2021. Last year, shipments of chilled mutton were carried out to Iran, in live weight - to Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Lebanon and Jordan. Work in this direction will be continued.

I also want to say that we still have problems in the field of poultry farming. That is, the provision of the republic with poultry MEAT is sufficient, but the production of eggs is very far behind. To solve this problem, we plan to attract investors to implement their projects. If we manage to resolve this issue, then the problems with egg production will be resolved,” Mukhtarbiy Adzhekov said.
