In the Penza region, Damate produced 183 thousand tons of turkey in slaughter weight in 2023, which is 11% more than in 2022. The increase in turkey production volumes in the Penza region was achieved thanks to the systematic implementation of a project to expand capacity to 207 thousand tons of products per year.

To expand production, the company is building two poultry farming units in the village of Bolshaya Elan, Penza region. The total cost of the project is 6.9 billion rubles, and Rosselkhozbank JSC is the financial partner. Each block consists of three poultry farms with 64 poultry houses. The total capacity is about 900 thousand heads. it is planned that the facilities will be launched at the end of 2024 , which will increase turkey production by 22.6 thousand tons in slaughter weight annually and achieve the planned capacity of the turkey breeding project.

In the Rostov region, turkey production increased by 7% to 54 thousand tons in slaughter weight. This growth in volumes is associated with the development of the largest turkey-breeding complex in the region, which has a capacity of 85 thousand tons of MEAT per year. In 2023, Damate also increased the breeding reproductive capacity to 11 million hatching eggs per year and began the production of hatching eggs at the fourth reproductive unit. All parent stock sites are fully operational.

In addition, Damate has increased its commercial turkey flock in Rostov by launching a fourth commercial flock block consisting of 40 poultry houses. New poultry houses are designed for raising marketable poultry for subsequent production. The unit's capacity exceeds one million birds per year. The first birds from the new sites were sent for slaughter at the end of April.

It is important to note that the company's production performance last year was favorably influenced by the company achieving full self-sufficiency in Russian turkey hatching eggs and refusing to import. Damate is the only turkey producer in RUSSIA with its own industrial parent flock. This has reduced dependence on imported genetic material, reduced biological risks and improved egg quality due to shorter shelf life and optimized logistics.

Achieving self-sufficiency became possible after the country's largest second-order turkey breeding farm with a capacity of 12 million eggs per year reached production levels in the Tyumen region.

The company plans to continue implementing projects in three regions and ensure stable operation of enterprises with an increase in turkey meat production in 2024.
