
The total volume of agricultural production in Crimea decreased in the first quarter of this year by 7.7% compared to the same period last year. This was reported in the press service of Krymstat.
“In January-March 2021, according to preliminary data, in the agricultural sector, total production volumes decreased by 7.7% compared to January-March 2020,” the ministry said.
In the first quarter of this year, 32.3 thousand tons of livestock and poultry were sold for slaughter, which is 10.5% less than in the first quarter of 2020. The volume of MILK produced decreased by 1.3% and amounted to 38.6 thousand tons. Also, the volume of egg production decreased by 10.3%, in the first three months of 2021, 61.6 million eggs were produced.
The number of cattle in Crimea decreased by 1.8%, pigs - by 4.8%, poultry - by 9.1%. At the same time, the number of sheep and goats increased by 3.5% compared to last year.
