OJSC "Luninetsky" received the status of a breeding farm

JSC "Luninsky", transformed in 2017 from the SPK of the same name, issued a passport confirming the status of a breeding farm. Prior to this, there were no breeding agricultural enterprises for raising livestock in the region.

How significant is this? Firstly, the status of a breeding agricultural enterprise indicates a high level of selection and breeding work. Secondly, it is a guarantee of its economic stability and evidence that potential buyers of pedigree breed can purchase cattle with high quality characteristics here.

Aberdeen cattle are grown here. This breed occupies the first lines in the ranking of the popularity of livestock in the meat direction. Animals are unpretentious in care, quickly gain weight and easily acclimatize. They can even be kept outdoors or under a canopy without sacrificing weight gain. They retain reproductive abilities throughout their lives, and when crossed, they convey the virtues of the breed well.

- Once upon a time, they started with the purchase of four breeding bulls in the Molodovo farm in the Ivanovo region. We decided to try it and see what happens. As a result, a purebred herd has grown over the years. And now we have officially received the passport of the breeding farm, - says the head of the farm, Vasily Melyukh.

In his opinion, the most profitable is the dairy industry. Nevertheless, the production of "marble meat", the most delicious beef, also pays off and is in great demand.

Simultaneously with the improvement of the livestock sector, the crop sector is also being strengthened. They are closed to each other. In 2020, 33.4 centners of grain per hectare were harvested here. This is the second result in the region.

- I remember when I took over this farm, then in the spring we had neither hay, nor silage, nor straw. I had to search around the area, buy from other farms. And when you have already gone through such a school, you will never allow yourself to miss building up a reliable food supply.

Vasily Melyukh teaches this to young people as well.

- If there is no zealous owner, there can be no result, - the head of JSC "Luninsky" believes. - For example, if we see that this year we are not getting a good harvest of winter crops, then in the spring we focus on spring crops. We supplement one with the other, while performing all operations in optimal agrotechnical terms.

The overall result depends on the personal contribution of each employee.

“Today, for 25 machine operators, instead of 18 combines that were involved in the 2000s, we have only six powerful units,” Vasily Melyukh noted. — On farms, manual labor was completely removed. For premises that were built in the old days and where modern equipment could not enter, tractors with low-profile cabs were purchased.

There are currently 143 people on the staff of the JSC. A few decades ago it was almost half a thousand. But then people seemed to work and seemed to receive. Now they really work and accordingly receive for their work. The average salary is 1017 rubles per month.
