The head of a farm in the Tomsk region spoke about preferences in choosing Simmental cows

Pervomaisky farmer Eduard Semipilenko, who is a member of the Krestyansky cooperative, decided to purchase breeding heifers for his farm.

He turned to the enterprise closest to his region - the Bashkir farm SPK "Ural", which specializes in breeding Simmental cattle. Experts from the Agrarian Center and the Regional Information and Selection Center of the Tomsk Region helped the farmer in selecting livestock and supporting the transaction.

Eduard Semipilenko, together with a livestock specialist from the agricultural center, conducted a detailed inspection of the livestock, checked data on the breed parameters for each HEAD, studied the living conditions on the farm and the animals’ diet. They also discussed possibilities for further cooperation.

The choice of the Simmental breed was determined by the development plans of the Krestyansky cooperative. The farmers intend to expand their activities and engage in MEAT processing and cheese making. Simmentals are an optimal choice due to the high protein content of their MILK , ideal for cheese production, as well as the good meat characteristics of this breed.

After studying the characteristics and parameters of Simmental cattle, experts from the Tomsk region came to the conclusion that this breed is completely suitable for the region where Eduard Semipilenko’s farm is located. These animals are hardy and resistant to environmental stress.
