New decline in Spanish pork exports in 2023

In 2023, values ​​were similar to those before the emergence of African swine fever in China (first outbreak confirmed in August 2018).

China was followed by Japan as the main destination with a decrease of 12%, the Philippines (-28%), South Korea (-19%) and the UK , which on the other hand increased imports of Spanish pork products by 3%. The Philippines, after two years in second place, returned to third place in 2023.
