Simmental heifers arrived from the Kaluga region to Yakutia.

In accordance with Resolution No. 447 of the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) dated July 18, 2022, "On the State Program of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) 'Development of Agriculture and Regulation of Agricultural Product, Raw Materials, and Food Markets,'" the republic's cattle population continues to be renewed . In addition to importing seed and artificial insemination of existing breeding stock, the importation of breeding stock from other regions is also being practiced. 

Last weekend, 50 head of Simmental cattle were delivered from Krasny Kombinat LLC in the Kaluga Region to the Megino-Kangalassky District for the Chuya Municipal Unitary Enterprise.

"The cattle were purchased and delivered with the support of the Megino-Kangalassky Ulus administration, traditionally a flagship of the republic's agricultural sector. The ministry will certainly endeavor to reimburse the enterprise for some of its expenses, and mechanisms and resources are in place for this.  Simmental heifers have been added to the Chuya Municipal Unitary Enterprise's cattle herd   . This breed boasts an optimal combination of milk and meat production. It's worth noting that Simmental cattle have been imported to Yakutia for a long time, and the breed has demonstrated excellent meat and milk production and, importantly, adapts well to the region's climate. The cattle were transported using specialized vehicles in compliance with veterinary and sanitary regulations. Upon arrival, the animals are undergoing the necessary care," said Nikolai Pitimko, Head of the Department of Livestock, Breeding, Cooperation, and Farming.
