In the Krasnodar Territory, poultry MEAT prices increased by 14.4% in January-July 2023. About this "Business newspaper. South" reported in Krasnodarstat.
According to statistical data, chilled chickens cost 180 rubles per kg in January. In March, the price fell to 174 rubles per kg, and since April it began to grow, and by July reached 206 rubles per kg.
In total, in January-July 2023, 167.5 tons of poultry meat for slaughter (chilled chickens) were produced in the Krasnodar Territory.
As Vladimir Mkhitaryan, general DIRECTOR of the Novorossiysk poultry farm, explained to RBC Krasnodar, the cost of chicken meat is affected by rising prices for fuel, electricity and feed.
“Why should everything in the country rise in price, while poultry meat and eggsNo? The price of fuel is growing by leaps and bounds, electricity prices have been “released”, the DOLLAR has become more expensive, the lending rate has risen. There used to be subsidized loans, but today they are gone. Grain is also not cheap, and feed is from 55 to 60% of the cost of chicken,” said Mkhitaryan.
At the same time, he added that a seasonal decline in demand is expected in the last quarter of 2023. “Many grow poultry in the summer on their farms, and in the fall they slaughter it, because keeping it in the winter is an expensive pleasure,” the director of the enterprise explained.
