As of 08/09/2024, 31 people were hospitalized in infectious diseases hospitals in Moscow. All victims ate lunch in a closed canteen for employees of the food organizer SS Restaurants and Cafes.

Experts took daily samples of prepared food, raw materials and water, as well as swabs from surfaces, hands and clothing of staff. Employees were tested for carriage of pathogens of acute intestinal infections.

During the investigation, it was established that there was no expiration date on the preparations and ready-made dishes, there was no labeling, and products with expired expiration dates were also found. After violations were discovered, the cafe was closed and the enterprise was sealed.
