The meat processing plant in Yuryev-Polsky will pay ₽150 thousand for an antibiotic in rabbit meat

The territorial administration of the ROSSELKHOZNADZOR fined a MEAT processing plant in Yuryev-Polsky (Vladimir region) for antibiotics in chilled rabbit meat grown on the Velikan farm in the village of Nebyloye.

The representative of the press service of the Rosselkhoznadzor department for the Vladimir, Kostroma and Ivanovo regions, Araksya Arakelyan, specified that an antibiotic of the tetracycline group (oxytetracycline) was found in rabbit carcasses at the end of 2019. However, the manufacturer disputed the results of the examination and a fine of 150 thousand rubles for a long time for violation of the technical regulations of the Customs Union "On food safety" (TR TS 021/2011) and "On the safety of meat and meat products" (TR TS 034/2013).

The company appealed against the department's decision to the Arbitration COURT of the Vladimir Region, which overturned it, but Rosselkhoznadzor, in turn, appealed to the First Arbitration Court of Appeal, which recognized the punishment as lawful. The trial went on for over a year. It turned out that the violation was the result of the introduction of low-quality compound feed into the diet of rabbits. Last week, the decision on administrative responsibility came into force.
