“ Prices for hotel accommodation and excursions began to grow faster in the region in May . This is due to the growth of domestic tourism and increased demand for recreation in the Astrakhan region. In addition, air and railway tickets cost more in May than a year ago. It also affected the growth in demand for travel across the country. All this contributed to an acceleration in the growth of prices for services up to 9.3%,” commented Vladimir Kosenkov, Bank of Russia Branch Manager for the Astrakhan Region.

Inflation had a positive effect on agriculture. Farmers have expanded their greenhouse space, which has helped expand the sale of cucumbers and slow down the rise in prices for this product. A good harvest of apples from supplying regions helped to form a high stock of fruit in storage. As a result, the price of the product has dropped. Beef , cottage cheese and cheese began to rise in price more slowly . All thanks to the fact that the price of grain has fallen, the factories began to produce more feed and use state support measures.
