A Ukrainian MEAT producer is looking for opportunities to set up new pork processing plants in other parts of the country.
MHP has suspended all activities at its pork processing plant in the Kramatorsk district of the Donetsk region. According to a press release from the company, MHP helps employees of PJSC "Ukrainian Bacon" with the evacuation. “We transfer some employees to other MHP enterprises and provide temporary housing. All employees of the company will be provided with financial compensation," MHP said in a statement.
For more than a month, the Ukrainian meat producer ensured the operational activities of the division of PrJSC "Ukrainian Bacon" and supported the supply of raw materials necessary for production, and the logistics of finished products.
“However, the situation in the Donetsk region is deteriorating. According to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the occupying forces of the Russian Federation continue to concentrate large forces in the east of the country. The further offensive of the invaders in the Donetsk region of the region increases the risks and danger to the life of the company's employees and makes its activities impossible. MHP's greatest value is its people, so the company is forced to temporarily suspend work at this facility to ensure the safety of its employees,” the press release says.
Currently, MHP is actively working on launching other production sites in order to continue to provide Ukrainians with quality products that were previously produced at that enterprise. “We are confident that companies will take this message as responsible partners, understanding that the safety of employees in times of war is a priority for MHP. We are also confident that together with all our partners we will be able to cope with temporary difficulties.
At the same time, MHP continues to see a key task for itself - maintaining food security in Ukraine, therefore, it will make every effort to restore the supply of meat and sausage products to Ukrainian consumers," the company said.
