
According to IMF forecasts , the overall inflation rate will decline to 2.4% by the end of 2025. In 2024 , it will remain at 2.8%.
The IMF maintained its inflation forecast for advanced economies at 2.6%, and expects a decline to 2% in 2025. The IMF downgraded its forecast for emerging market and developing economies to 8.1% and 6.2%, respectively. The Chinese economic growth forecast remained unchanged, with growth expected at 4.6% in 2024 and 4.1% in 2025. Analysts have improved India's GDP growth forecast to 6.8% for 2024, with 6.5% expected in 2025.
On April 12, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced at an economic meeting that GDP would grow to 3.6% in 2023. He stated that the average global GDP growth rate last year was 3%, while among developed countries it was 1.5%. Rosstat estimated GDP growth in 2023 at 3.6% on February 7. This figure exceeded the Ministry of Economy's estimate of 3.5%.
