Moscow Region Launches Saanen Goat Breeding Project

The leased area of ​​45 hectares already has electricity, a modern goat house has been built and pens for walking the animals have been organized. Currently, the farm contains 24 purebred Saanen goats and 12 Romanov sheep.

Agricultural machinery has also been introduced, and 50 tons of hay for feeding the animals were prepared by the farm itself. The Ministry noted that the region lacks breeding farms for goat breeding, and the implementation of this project helps to increase the genetic potential and productivity of Saanen goats. it is expected that such a farm will help to increase the production of high-quality goat MILK and dairy products.
