At the Ostrovnaya poultry farm, young laying hens began to lay their first eggs. While it is small - 35-44.9 grams, but will soon become selective. This was reported in the press service of the enterprise.

“We expect a selected egg, weighing from 65 to 74.9 grams. So our chickens have something to strive for!” said poultry farmer Tatyana Trubnikova.

The poultry farm clarified that the “feathered troublemakers” begin to rush at about five months of age. High egg production lasts for a year, then it decreases.

“And then the industrial herd has to be updated. This is what we do four to six times a year, alternately exchanging exhausted birds for young laying hens in each of the eight poultry houses,” Ostrovnoy added.

Earlier, MK on Sakhalin reported that on the eve of Easter, the Ostrovnaya poultry farm reduced the price for a broiler chicken thigh. The promotion is valid in all company stores. It should be noted that there will be no shortage of eggs in the Sakhalin Region by the bright holiday - in the near future the poultry farm will produce 340 thousand eggs per day.
