The government will launch a digital service that will allow farmers in the regions to receive support electronically, including by submitting applications for subsidies in this way, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on Wednesday.

"The next step is the launch of a digital service that will enable farmers in each region to receive state support in electronic form, including applying for subsidies," the HEAD of the Cabinet said in a video message to the members of the board of the Ministry of Agriculture, the text of which is published on the government website.

According to him, this will reduce the time for bringing funds to agricultural producers, as well as reduce their costs.

"The platform should become available to users as early as next year," Mishustin added.
