By 2030, global beef production will grow to 75 million tons, which is only 5.8% higher than in the base period. Slow growth is attributed to weak demand for beef as consumers prioritize poultry.

Sub-Saharan Africa is projected to have the highest growth rate of 15% due to high population growth. In the main production and exporting regions of beef, growth will be more modest. In North America, the largest beef producing region, production will increase by 6% by 2030.

Production in Europe is forecast to fall by 5% as dairy cow stocks, which account for about two-thirds of beef supplies, decline in line with productivity and profits in the dairy sector. Other factors limiting the sector's growth potential in the European Union are increased competition in export markets and lower domestic demand.

In Australia, beef supply will remain tight as farmers increase livestock numbers after a drought. A gradual recovery in production is expected, but it will take several years for the herd to recover.

In India, beef production will decline by 33% by 2030 due to reforms in the rules for the transport and export of animals affecting their welfare.

And this fact will be taken into account when preparing the monthly analytical report Meatinfo.ru
