The Foreign Agricultural Service of the US Department of Agriculture published a forecast for the development of the situation in the global poultry market until the end of 2021. Poultry production and exports are expected to remain virtually unchanged.
The forecast for global chicken MEAT production for 2021 is revised down by 1 percent from the previous forecast in April, to 101.0 million tons due to a projected decline in CHINA. Chicken meat production in China will decline due to weaker demand as pig numbers recover and pork prices fall. Brazil, the world's leading poultry meat exporter, will continue its relatively steady expansion in the global poultry market driven by external and domestic demand. However, the expansion of performance of major producers is hampered by high prices for coarse grains and prolonged exposure to highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in several countries (EU, Korea, Japan).
World exports of chicken meat in 2021 will remain virtually unchanged and will amount to 12.0 million tons. Slight declines in exports from the EU and Brazil are offset by increased shipments from the United States and China . Saudi imports are declining, mainly due to restrictions on Brazilian products, but this is offset by upward revisions in forecasts in other major markets ( China , Cuba and Angola).
And this fact will be taken into account when preparing the monthly analytical report Meatinfo.ru
