Miratorg plans to increase feed procurement to 9.7 million tons in 2024

As the company reported to sfera.fm, the holding is implementing a long-term strategy aimed at increasing feed production as part of the growth of the cattle and small cattle population. Crop production is the starting point in the vertically integrated production structure of the Miratorg Agribusiness Holding “from field to counter”. The presence of our own feed base serves as a guarantee of the quality of the supplied products, since feed is the primary basis for obtaining quality MEAT. 

This year, the total area sown with perennial and annual grasses for the production of hay, haylage and silage reached 498 thousand hectares. The feed contains only natural grasses at the peak of their ripening: alfalfa, awnless brome, ryegrass, vetch-oats, corn and others, without GMOs and  antibiotics . The first cutting of annual grasses has already been completed in all regions of the company's presence. In total, it is planned to prepare about 9.7 million tons of feed for the winter period of keeping cattle and small cattle: rough - a source of fiber for the normal metabolism of animals and juicy - a nutritional basis for MILK production, rich in vitamins and microelements. 

“This is a busy time for farmers, because the successful operation of the livestock complex as a whole largely depends on the availability of a balanced diet, especially in the autumn-winter season . As soon as the plants reach their best quality indicators, we begin foraging. This year, weather conditions made their own adjustments, but, thanks to the well-coordinated work of employees and reliable equipment, in the end the first mowing in all regions was completed even ahead of schedule,” commented the press service of ABH Miratorg.
