
According to monitoring data for the 36th week of 2021 (September 6-12), pork half carcasses on the world market fell almost everywhere - by an average of 2.1%, to $1.87 per kilogram.
Over the month, the price of half-carcasses on a global scale decreased by an average of 7.1%. Over the past week, the price of products in this category in CANADA fell by 5.5%. In the Russian market, the price level of pork in DOLLAR terms increased by 0.6% to $2.74 per kilogram, and decreased by 6.8% over the month.
The price of live pigs on the world market this week has decreased by an average of 1.3% to $1.49 kg. In Germany, due to reduced demand and the aggravated epizootic situation with African swine fever, they dropped by 3.3% to $0.96 per kilogram in live weight. Over the month, live prices fell by an average of 4.5%.
In RUSSIA, the price of slaughter pigs increased by 1.2% per week to $1.88 per kilogram. In comparison with the first week of August, it decreased by 2.8% in dollar terms.
In the wholesale link of the pork supply chain, butcher prices are up 1% this week compared to week 35, 2021, and are up 3.1% MoM. Pork by-products rose in price by 0.6%, and lard - by 1.1%.
In the context of the regions of the Russian Federation, the average price of live pigs of slaughter conditions increased by 1.2%, and half carcasses fell in price by 0.3%. At the same time, the minimum price of marketable pigs in the 36th week of 2021 was 107.5 rubles, and the maximum price was 145 rubles per kilogram. Prices for half carcasses fluctuated between 171-228 rubles per kilogram.
The most pronounced increase in the price of half-carcasses is observed in the Southern Federal District of Russia, and the most noticeable decrease in the North-Western Federal District.
