Inflation in RUSSIA from August 9 to 15 slowed to 14.87% in annual terms against 15.01% a week earlier, according to the review "On the current price situation", prepared by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
"In the week from August 9 to 15, 2022, the price decline continued and amounted to -0.13%. In annual terms, the price growth rate decreased to 14.87%," the review notes.
According to the ministry, the main contribution to the decline in prices continues to be made by cheaper food products (-0.33% at the end of the week) due to lower prices for fruits and vegetables. The decline in prices for travel and regulated services also resumed (-0.19% after rising by 0.08% a week earlier), mainly due to lower airfare, the review says.
According to the draft forecast of the socio-economic development of the Russian Federation until 2025, inflation in Russia by the end of 2022 will be at the level of 13.4%.
