TealTech Capital, owned by Andrey Krivenko, the founder of VkusVill, and his partners, has invested in B2Btrade, a wholesale marketplace for groceries and consumer goods, focused on direct cooperation between manufacturers and shops and restaurants. The amount of investment amounted to 300 thousand dollars.

B2Btrade is a Russian marketplace for wholesale purchases of products and consumer goods, focused on small and medium-sized manufacturers, chain and non-chain retailers, restaurants, etc. The project satisfies the market demand for direct work between the manufacturer and retailer, while the vast majority of wholesale trade platforms are focused on resale of goods with the participation of distributors.

Now the share of distributors on B2Btrade is about 10% in those categories where their presence is indispensable. For example, if a large manufacturer does not sell goods in a certain region on its own. As of June 2021, over 1,700 suppliers are registered on the site (more than 200 are added monthly).

Among the retailers connected to the platform are VkusVill, Svetofor, Bakhetle networks, among the suppliers are Aqua Holding (Essentuki brand), Maheev, Akulchev, etc.

The attracted investments will be used to develop the marketplace in Europe, in particular, to launch it in Germany and Italy. The team will also focus on the development of logistics and financial services within the platform. In particular, the company will provide the opportunity to consolidate cargo in logistics both within the country and abroad with the involvement of partners, as well as factoring and secure transaction services.

— Our task is to make the procurement, payment and logistics processes accessible and understandable. We use soft power - we want to transform the market not through restrictions, but through new opportunities, - says co-founder and CEO of B2Btrade Artem Arifullin. - By the end of the year, we intend to reach the targets - more than 10,000 suppliers and 50,000 buyers. Our ambition is to become the largest b2b marketplace in the FMCG and grocery category in the CIS and the EU.

World Bank: state support has little effect on the development of the agro-industrial complex in RUSSIA. Much more important is the global increase in food prices and favorable weather conditions

The commission for transactions on the platform is 0%. The project earns on promotion within the site, and also plans to monetize through logistics and financial services.
