Lenta opened its own production facilities for meat and fish semi-finished products at distribution centers in the Leningrad Region, the Moscow Region and Novosibirsk. It is planned to reach the design capacity in 2022.

In total, the centralized production facilities of a large retailer will daily produce 15 tons of culinary and 12 tons of fish products, 10 tons of meat products and 5 tons of pastries. In addition, Lenta is preparing sausage shops with a capacity of 1.5 tons per day for commissioning.

The launch of new production facilities will allow the retail chain to increase the share of products under its own brand in the culinary departments by 10%. Culinary workshops in hypermarkets will remain: they will bring semi-finished products to readiness, including those that have undergone deep freezing. Due to the full automation of centralized production, the cost of Lenta's culinary products should be reduced by 3-5%.

An increase in the share of private label goods will diversify the assortment of stores and provide more favorable conditions for cooperation with suppliers. This trend can be seen in the activities of several large retailers, which are actively developing domestic production of goods under private label.
