Kamchatka's Largest Poultry Farm Receives Batch of Hatching Eggs to Restore Chicken Stock

"The eggs were placed in an incubator , and in 21 days the enterprise will receive about 40 thousand laying hens," the statement reads.

This is the third delivery to restore the livestock. The first two were laying hens - 200 thousand chicks in total.

As reported, the mass death of chickens in JSC Pionerskoye (owned by the regional Ministry of Property) occurred at the end of October last year. The cause was highly pathogenic bird flu. Because of it, a state of emergency was declared in the region. All infected livestock of the poultry farm - about 239 thousand chickens - were destroyed.

Full restoration of the poultry farm is planned for January 2026. The total capacity that the enterprise should reach is 230-240 thousand eggs per day. The Pionerskoye

poultry farm has been operating since 1960, producing eggs, poultry MEAT and semi-finished products. The poultry farm's population of chickens was more than 200 thousand heads, and egg production was up to 50 million pieces per year.
