Production, suspended after the bankruptcy of the Duck Farms agricultural holding, resumed in April with the arrival of a new investor.
Agroholding LLC "Alpina" in the Chelyabinsk region - the largest agro-complex in the Urals for incubation, cultivation, slaughter and processing of duck MEAT breeds - is restoring production. According to the company's Center for Agroanalytics, the number of ducks at the enterprise now amounts to more than 120 thousand heads and is growing weekly, in July the first slaughter was carried out, 140 tons of meat was obtained in slaughter weight.
Recall that the poultry farm "Duck Farms" was declared bankrupt in February 2019 and suspended work. But with the advent of a new investor, Alpina LLC, a technical audit of the enterprise started in March of this year, after which the incubator, poultry breeding sites and the slaughter and processing complex were restored.
In April, a separate subdivision of the enterprise was opened, a plan for the technical development of the agricultural holding until the end of 2025 was agreed and implemented, contracts were concluded for the purchase of hatching eggs and feed. To maintain the full production cycle, the enterprise provides for about 120 jobs, 67 people have already been hired, mainly residents of the Krasnoarmeysky district of the Chelyabinsk region and Chelyabinsk.
The agricultural holding plans to grow 6.5 thousand tons of broiler ducks in live weight per year and produce chilled duck carcasses, duck fillet, legs, wings, necks, tongues, liver, stomachs and other products - in total, specifications have been developed for 60 commodity items. Since the start of production, the output of finished products has already amounted to 170 tons.
In the future, the company expects to increase production to 12 thousand tons of broiler ducks in live weight per year and take a 10% share of the Russian duck meat market.
