Rabbit farm "Eco Food" opens its own fish farm

KFH "Eco Food" in the Trans-Baikal Territory is going to take a new niche in the agro-industrial complex, launching the construction of a fishery complex. In the message of the Trans-Baikal branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Center for Agroanalytics", it is indicated that "Eco Food" for the Trans-Baikal Territory is one of the largest agro-industrial investment projects, more than 600 million rubles have already been invested in it.

The company will invest 24.5 million rubles in the construction of the fishery complex, according to Agroanalytics - this is the budget for both construction and the purchase of equipment and breeding material. The planned capacity of the complex is 86 thousand tons of trout and 56 thousand tons of sturgeon per year. Eco Food plans to use the new farm not only to increase supplies to the domestic market of RUSSIA, but also to enter the market.

The main activity of Eco Food is rabbit breeding. The rabbit breeding enterprise was opened in 2019 and became the first farm of its kind in the Far Eastern Federal District, Agroanalytica reports. Now it produces about 10 tons of chilled MEAT and 1.5 tons of offal per month. In addition, the enterprise has the only rabbit insemination site in the region.
