Crimea allocates 495 million rubles to support livestock farming: focus on dairy production and poultry farming

Dairy farming in the region faces serious challenges, including water and feed shortages, forcing farmers to use stall-based housing for their animals. According to Crimean Agriculture Minister Denis Kratyuk, despite this situation, processing plants are capable of increasing production fivefold, but a shortage of raw materials is hindering this process.

The allocated funds will help subsidize MILK production , which will compensate for farmers' costs and increase their production volumes. Subsidies will amount to 5 to 7 rubles per liter of milk. Poultry farming will also be supported : 44 million rubles from the republican budget are allocated to stabilize chicken egg production to compensate for losses of enterprises.

To ensure efficient use of funds, Crimea has implemented accounting systems to track productivity and veterinary activities. Despite the existing problems, Crimea is showing growth in food production, especially in the MEAT and dairy industries, with hopes for further development after new investments and support.
