Cattle “beauty” competition, MTZ-Show, Hoof trimming tournament: What else surprised “AGROVOLGA 2024” in Kazan

Over three days, despite the extreme hot weather, the exhibition was visited by 15,984 specialists and managers of the agro-industrial industry from 54 regions of RUSSIA and 8 countries.

On July 4, Deputy HEAD of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Andrei Razin visited the exhibition and called the AGROVOLGA exhibition a world-class event: “I want to thank you for the magnificent event of the all-Russian, I would even say, world level,” said Razin. According to him, the exhibition becomes “wider, more beautiful and of higher quality” every year. “It sets the highest level of such events not only for our country, but also for the international community of farmers,” the speaker emphasized. The Deputy Minister added that the exhibition is visited by a large number of participants, including foreign ones. “We see great interest from farmers. And most importantly, the exhibition has a practical result,” he noted. Every year, important contracts are concluded here, new advanced agricultural technologies, seeds, plant protection products, and mechanization products are demonstrated, Razin continued.

The III Republican breeding competition for dairy cattle “KRASA AGROVOLGI” , which took place on the sidelines of the exhibition, created a real sensation on the Internet . The competition, which became an annual event, brought together 80 of the best Holstein animals from 40 breeding farms of the Republic of Tatarstan . Among the dairy heifers, the best was the cow from the Kukmorsky district. The judge of the “Beauty of AGROVOLGI” competition - International professional appraiser of the National Association of Holstein-Friesian Cattle Producers of the Hungarian Republic, Tamas Szebok, shared his impressions:

“Three years ago I came here for the first time and stood in the same place, and thank you for your trust that I can be here again. Both the competition and the exhibition are very powerful communication tools; all representatives of the agricultural sector meet in one place and can discuss all pressing issues. it is also an informal meeting place with our end consumers. For them, such events lift the veil of secrecy, they can look into the agricultural sector from the inside. And everyone can see the result of the hard work of the agricultural representatives. I would like to thank the organizers for creating a special festive atmosphere at this event. On July 4, the Republican Championship for professional driving on gas-engine tractors BELARUS “MTZ-SHOW” was held for the first time, organized jointly with the sponsor of the exhibition - MTZ-Tatarstan. On two parallel tracks of 100 m each, participants passed obstacles and demonstrated figure driving while rearranging the load and following the markings. The winner was a machine operator from the Tyulyachinsky district.

On July 5, as part of the exhibition, the First International Cattle Claw Trimming Tournament took place . More than 150 veterinary orthopedic hoof surgeons from Russia, the Republic of Belarus , Kazakhstan, Bolivia and Cuba met on one site to compete for the title of the best in their profession. The winner of the main nomination was a representative of the Republic of Belarus, and in the “Young Masters” nomination a native of the Chuvash Republic became the winner.

More than 20 round tables took place at the exhibition site, where current issues of the agro-industrial complex were discussed. In particular, these are issues of land reclamation to ensure food security in any climatic year, digital trends in the agro-industrial complex, issues of agricultural insurance , modernization, and the introduction of gas motor fuel in the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Tatarstan. Management Company "August-Agro", GC "EkoNiva" and other companies shared their experience in managing livestock enterprises. The sponsor of the business program, PhosAgro Region, presented an agrochemical soil inspection service and will tell you why it is worth choosing domestically selected seeds.

Not only Russian but also foreign companies from the Republic of Belarus, Turkey, CHINA and Iran took part in the exhibition. Turkish companies presented irrigation systems, equipment and technologies for processing and packaging agricultural products, equipment for FLOUR mills, and various agricultural machinery. Iran presented trailed tillage equipment, China presented a parallel driving system and other digital technologies for agricultural machinery, and a Chinese combine harvester will also be demonstrated. The Republic of Belarus presented equipment for livestock farms, grain cleaning machines and much more at the exhibition.

The premiere of the new Zoomlion PG2004 tractor from the Terra-Povolzhye dealer took place. For the first time in the Volga region, the first combine harvester Kirovets K-100 was presented. The KazanSelmash Bars 4000 self-propelled sprayer could be appreciated at work. In total, more than 320 units of equipment could be seen at the exhibition.

The field exposition was represented by a voluminous and rich section on livestock farming, as well as experimental fields.

More than 250 promising and best-adapted new products of domestic and foreign selection could be evaluated at the variety testing site. At this site, in the fields of “AGROVOLGA”, many basic crops were presented: winter grains, varieties and hybrids of grains and legumes, fodder and industrial crops.

The largest and most anticipated section for the participants was a visit to the livestock breeding unit: guests got acquainted with modern equipment and machinery for livestock farms, breeding material, feed and feed additives, veterinary drugs and hygiene products.

This segment of the exhibition was attended by well-known large manufacturers and suppliers Yarvet, Elita, Simex Russia, Glazovsky Feed Mill, Invet, Lallemand, Intergen and others, as well as new promising companies.

It is significant that the livestock section at this exhibition is represented very widely, because the Republic of Tatarstan is one of the leading regions in MILK production.
