Due to the threat of an economic downturn , CHINA will stop testing certain types of imported products for the presence of the DNA of the 2019-NCOV virus.
According to the National HEALTH Commission (NCH) of the People's Republic of China, the list includes prepared foods and animal feeds produced abroad. At the same time, the requirement for its preliminary disinfection remains in force, and frozen and chilled MEAT at Chinese customs will continue to be checked for the presence of CORONAVIRUS genetic material in accordance with established rules.
The statement said that the removal of mandatory testing of some products is aimed at "ensuring the stability of production chains and supply chains." The NHC notes that at room temperature, the new coronavirus can only survive on the surface of most objects for a short time.
Containers and packaging for the presence of coronavirus in China have been studied since 2020, while domestic outbreaks of covid-19 are often blamed on foreign suppliers, although WHO experts consider this route of infection extremely unlikely.
