China is the main importer of poultry and beef from Russia

According to FSIS "Argus", the largest volumes of Russian pork last year were purchased by Vietnam and Belarus (85.1 thousand and 78.8 thousand tons, respectively). The maximum volume of lamb supplies falls to Iran (10.3 thousand tons). Kazakhstan is the leader in purchases of finished MEAT products (48.9 thousand tons). 132.9 thousand tons of poultry meat and 21.5 tons of beef were delivered to counterparties of domestic exporters from CHINA.

Last year, 16 countries around the world opened access to domestic markets for 47 types of livestock products from RUSSIA. At a round table dedicated to the results of 2023 and the trends of the current year in the meat processing market as part of the international exhibition Prodexpo-2024, Assistant HEAD of ROSSELKHOZNADZOR Artem Daushev named the key success factors. In his opinion, these include compliance of goods with the requirements of foreign countries, proper control of their quality and safety, careful study of materials provided to market regulators abroad, increasing biological safety at enterprises and the introduction of information systems in veterinary medicine.

According to official information from the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, last year revenue from agricultural exports exceeded $45 billion for the first time, compared to $41.7 billion in 2022. The increase was 7.9%.
