Kazakhstan: import of pork from 33 Russian regions is allowed

Russian pig farmers from 33 regions can now EXPORT their pork to Kazakhstan . Since May 22 of this year, Kazakhstan has opened its borders to the import of pigs and pig products from these African swine fever-free regions.

This significant decision was made after intensive negotiations between the leadership of ROSSELKHOZNADZOR and the Vice Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan. Sergei Dankvert, HEAD of Rosselkhoznadzor , and Amangali Berdalin, Vice Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, came to an agreement to lift restrictions on the transit of pig products through Kazakhstan.
