In six urban districts of the Kaliningrad region, a quarantine for bovine leukemia has been declared. The orders are posted on the Internet portal of legal information.

The restrictions affected 17 subsidiary farms. Animals with leukemia must be slaughtered. Farms are not allowed to sell dairy products and raw milk . After the examination, the further use of offal and meat will be determined.

Earlier in December, infection with the bovine leukemia virus was detected in three farms in the Khabarovsk Territory. Administrative cases have been initiated. All farms are located in the area named after Lazo. According to the Rosselkhoznadzor , restrictive measures were introduced in the territories. It turned out that farmers violated the rules for combating quarantine and especially dangerous animal diseases.
