Brucellosis quarantine introduced in Grachevsky district of Stavropol due to outbreak of infection in cattle

The epidemiological focus is defined as two farmsteads where the infection was detected, and the entire Grachevsky District, with more than 37 thousand residents, is recognized as an unfavorable location. In accordance with the plan to eliminate the outbreak, agricultural exhibitions and fairs where animals are moved are prohibited. Brucellosis is a disease transmitted from animals to humans and can cause serious damage to organs. The main routes of infection are the consumption of raw MILK and insufficiently processed MEAT.
