Kamchatka's Pionerskoye poultry farm will fully resume operations in early 2026 following a bird flu outbreak.

To prevent similar incidents from recurring, the All-Russian Poultry Research and Technology Institute developed a biological protection plan for the farm. Significant work has already been completed, including separating roads, installing disinfection barriers, and upgrading equipment. Pionerskoye is the only poultry farm in Kamchatka, operating since 1960, producing eggs , poultry MEAT , and semi-finished products. A state of emergency was declared in the region due to the outbreak, but monitoring now shows no evidence of avian influenza in RUSSIA.
