Besprozvannykh noted that food security largely depends on financial and non-financial government support for the regional agro-industrial complex, which the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation provides in full. There are unsolved problems in vegetable growing, where self-sufficiency in products does not exceed 60%. Currently, the Kaliningrad region ranks 4th in the Russian Federation in terms of wheat yield, 3rd in rapeseed, and 7th in milk yield per cow. The farmers have very ambitious plans, the acting governor added.
