The plant currently processes 600 HEAD of cattle per day, with plans to increase this to 1,800 head in the coming weeks. During the initial opening, Diamantino will receive support for “complementary activities” from Friboi’s two other divisions, which are located in the Barra do Garsas, Mato Grosso and Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul plants. In the "start-up phase", the plant will involve an investment of BRL 300 million (about US $61 million ).

The enterprise, equipped with the most modern equipment, resumes operations and is capable of processing 2.4 times more livestock than before. In addition, it meets the main criteria of international markets, including halal processing.

Renato Costa, President of Friboi, emphasized: “The Diamantino factory is equipped with the most modern automation and the latest technologies for processing and freezing beef, with a focus on value-added and portioned products.”
