Changes in egg prices in Russia for the first half of this year

In the first half of this year, there was a significant decrease in selling prices for eggs in RUSSIA, which, according to the Rosptitsesoyuz, amounted to 8 to 10 percent. The general DIRECTOR of the organization, Galina Bobyleva, emphasized that Russian poultry enterprises are actively responding to changes in demand, and also take into account factors affecting egg production.

One of the key factors influencing the decline in prices is the gradual recovery of poultry farms, which faced problems with avian influenza outbreaks last year. This recovery process contributes to the stabilization of prices for eggs and poultry MEAT on the domestic market.

Sergei Lakhtyukhov, general director of the National Union of Poultry Farmers, noted that the decrease in prices may be due to excess supply in the market compared to demand. He also emphasized that an increase in the share of egg sales under long-term contracts makes the market situation more stable and predictable.

Rosstat reported that in the last week of June, egg prices in Russia decreased by 1%, and since the beginning of the year the overall figure was 15.2%. This indicates that the country's egg market is in the process of regulating and adapting to current economic trends.

Thus, the decrease in egg prices in Russia in the first half of 2023 indicates a balance between supply and demand, which creates favorable conditions for both producers and consumers of these products. it is important to note that the market situation remains stable and does not foretell any sudden changes in pricing policy in the near future.
