Avian influenza has been detected at the poultry farm LLC Zuevskoe Lubivoye (Zuevka, Kirov Region, a producer of chicken eggs), a population of more than 400,000 heads will be destroyed.
According to the department of the ROSSELKHOZNADZOR for the region, during laboratory studies of the pathological material of birds belonging to the poultry farm OOO Zuevskoye Lyubimoe, genetic material of the influenza A virus was detected last week. The sample was promptly sent to the FGBI ARRIAH (Vladimir), which confirmed the diagnosis. A subtype of avian influenza virus, H5N1, has been identified.
According to the published decree of the governor of the Kirov region, restrictive measures (quarantine) for highly pathogenic avian influenza have been established in certain areas of the region. Quarantine is established for 21 calendar days after the slaughter of the last bird, with the exception of the wild, which is in a state of natural environment. The threatened zone defines the territory within a radius of up to 10 km from the borders of the epizootic focus (LLC "Zuevskoye favorite").
A plan was also approved to eliminate the epizootic focus and prevent the spread of the pathogen of highly pathogenic avian influenza in certain areas of the region.
According to the action plan, 422,015 chickens, 110,298 eggs, and 3,586 kg of chicken MEAT are subject to seizure in the epizootic focus. In the threatened zone, poultry will be seized in the amount of 854 heads in 82 private farms.
In particular, as of October 31, 27.29 thousand bird corpses were burned at a poultry farm, confiscated in the city of Zuevka, the village of Sezenevo, the village of Zui.
As of October 30, 2021, 290 birds (260 chickens, 25 pigeons, 5 ducks) were destroyed in 23 private farms.
OOO Zuevskoe Lubovye has limited access to the FGIS Vetis-Mercury.
Rosselkhoznadzor notes that hunters shoot wild birds to test for bird flu. Further burning of bird corpses is planned.
“The department keeps this situation under control and takes the necessary measures within the established competence,” the message added.
According to the SPARK-Interfax system, Stanislav Zagoskin owns 99% of the shares of Zuevskoye Lyubimoe LLC, and Tatyana Ishutinova, DIRECTOR of Kirov Ptitseprom LLC, owns 1%. The poultry farm has a "daughter" engaged in trade - Poultry Business LLC.
