Despite difficult weather conditions, the crop production sector is growing: for 11 months of 2024 , the volume of production in rural enterprises amounted to 108.6%. At the same time, due to over-watering of the soil, a state of emergency was introduced in the republic, which led to a shortfall in the grain harvest . Nevertheless, farmers collected record harvests of industrial crops and more than 3 million tons of grain, covering the internal needs of the region.

Sugar production reached 2.6 million tons, up 156% year-on-year. In 2024, work will also continue on melioration and the inclusion of unused lands in agricultural circulation.

This year, about 2.4 thousand units of equipment worth 11 billion rubles were purchased for technical modernization of the agricultural sector. It is important to note that bonuses from local authorities contribute to the renewal of agricultural equipment.

Livestock farming is also growing: 732 thousand tons of commercial milk were produced in the first 11 months of 2024, which is 2.8% more than in the same period last year. Successful investment projects help increase meat volumes, reaching 380 thousand tons during the reporting period.

Food production is growing steadily, and the republic fully satisfies its needs in the main categories. Farmers will continue to actively develop export supplies, cooperating with 41 countries.

To improve the standard of living in rural areas, programs are being implemented to support the local population, including the construction of new facilities and housing subsidies . The Prime Minister instructed to continue work in this direction and ensure full budget utilization by the end of the year.
