The study revealed changes in the preferences of Russians in meat

Only 1% of Russians have completely abandoned MEAT, while more than 80% of citizens use it constantly, although over the past year the consumption of beef has decreased and poultry consumption has increased, according to a study by the Otkritie Bank, which is at the disposal of RIA Novosti.

“About 36% of Russians eat meat every day, another 50% eat meat all the time, several times a week. 10% of respondents eat meat products no more than once a week. Approximately 2% of respondents do this no more than once a month. And only 1% do not eat meat at all," the analysts found out.

At the same time, over the past year, Russians have begun to eat less beef and more poultry meat, the study notes. "The consumption of beef over the past year has not changed in 58%, in 4% it has increased, in 38% it has decreased. In 69% of Russians, pork consumption has not changed over the year, 5% began to eat it more, and 26% - less. At that At the same time, 70% consume the same amount of poultry meat as a year ago, one in ten began to consume it less, and 20% - more, "experts point out.

More than half of Russians (55%) will not refuse to eat meat under any circumstances, while 37% are ready to stop eating meat on the recommendations of doctors. Only 2% of citizens are ready to stop eating meat because of love or friendship with a person who does not eat it.

Four out of ten Russians love meat more than fish, and another four love them equally. At the same time, only 15% prefer fish. Equally dislike meat and fish 2% of respondents added to the study.

The study was conducted by Otkritie Bank on March 8-15 on a representative sample of 1,020 Russians aged 18-65 in cities with a population of over 100,000 people.
