The other day, Orbillion Bio from San Francisco ( usa ) made a presentation of artificial MEAT grown from animal cells in the laboratory. In particular, the list of cell meat products includes: beef cutlets, marbled beef rolls and lamb sausages.
The company decided to abandon the cultivation of pork and chicken, as several start-ups in different countries already grow this meat. Orbillion Bio will focus its efforts on the production of rare and expensive meats. In particular, the company grows lamb, elk and wagyu marbled beef.
One of the first investors and guests of the promotional dinner, the owner of Joyance Partners, Holly Jacobus, said that Orbillion Bio has developed an unprecedented accelerated technology for the formation of muscle tissue from thousands of tiny fragments and varies the process through new combinations of starting material and nutrient media.
Jacobus noted that Orbillion's cultivation process is already significantly cheaper than other startups, and obviously more effective from a marketing point of view, since it initially assumes a flexible response to demand.
