The Horriot IS of the Rosselkhoznadzor for the identification of animals is available in all regions of Russia

The problem of illegal movement of animals is complicated by the lack of fixed rules for their identification at the legislative level, so it is necessary to introduce marking of animals throughout RUSSIA. To this end, ROSSELKHOZNADZOR launched the Horriot information system. It contains basic information about farm and domestic animals.

So far, this voluntary labeling of animals is optional, by decision of the veterinary services of the regions, since mandatory identification has not been introduced in the country.

The platform contains information about the biological species, breed, gender, date of birth, purpose and place of keeping, data about the owner of the animal, its breeding value.

In the future, it will be possible to add information about the treatment, diagnosis of diseases and vaccination of animals.

The Horriot system worked in pilot mode in several regions of the country, but in October all other subjects received access to it. The platform can be used by the veterinary services of the regions, as well as the territorial departments of Rosselkhoznadzor .

The platform will be fully launched after the identification of animals is recognized as mandatory in the country at the legislative level.
