Investments in the agricultural industry of Dagestan amount to billions

Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov noted that last year, agricultural production in Dagestan increased by 5.8%. “The republic’s agro-industrial complex has not had such indicators for decades,” the Prime Minister emphasized.

President of the Association of Beekeepers of the Republic of Dagestan Nadir Akhmedov said that the Prime Minister’s assessment is objective: “We all know Abdulmuslim Mukhudinovich, first of all, as an experienced agrarian and a person who loves his land with all his soul. Therefore, you can be sure that if he highly evaluates the work of the relevant minister, then this assessment is deserved and fair.”

He added that today Dagestan occupies a leading position in livestock farming and in certain areas of crop production, the processing of agricultural products is growing, and new warehouses are being built for their storage.

“Billions are being invested in the industry, and this suggests that the prospects for the agro-industrial complex of the republic are enormous. Active work in close connection with agricultural science is noticeable; in a short time, specialized colleges in Buinaksk and Dagestanskie Ogni have been transformed, which were only recently transferred to the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Dagestan,” the speaker said.

As an example of recent investments, the Republican Ministry of Agriculture cites data that the Batyr-Broiler LLC poultry farm in the Khasavyurt district plans to implement an investment project for the production of chicken eggs with a capacity of 200 million pieces per year.

The total investment will be 900 million rubles, including the cost of building new poultry houses. Part of the funds will be raised in the form of soft loans. In addition to chicken eggs, the company intends to triple the production of poultry meat to a volume of 15 thousand tons with the construction of 24 new poultry houses and the purchase of equipment for advanced processing. The implementation of this project will lead to the creation of 100-150 jobs.
