Foreign manufacturers of veterinary medicinal products work as usual

The leading suppliers of immunobiological and pharmaceutical veterinary preparations represented on the Russian market (MSD Animal HEALTH, Zoetis, Boehringer Ingelheim and Elanco) refute the information about the termination of supplies, the AVPHARM press service reported.

Companies are working as usual and are ready, if necessary, to make additional efforts to provide pet owners and agricultural producers with familiar and high-quality veterinary medicines in the current situation, to prevent disruption of planned preventive and urgent treatment procedures.

“The well-coordinated work of Russian and foreign manufacturers and suppliers with the authorities will help to avoid risks for the Russian veterinary market,” says Semyon Zhavoronkov, executive DIRECTOR of the profile business association.

He confirmed that AVPHARM summarized the existing risks and prepared the necessary proposals regarding the simplification of certain registration procedures. Their adaptation to current conditions will ensure the availability of the necessary drugs in RUSSIA.

AVPHARM notes that the current risks for the market lie entirely within the competence of the Russian authorities and can be leveled by taking a number of urgent measures. The association confirms that industry companies are working to maintain the availability of veterinary drugs, have the necessary stock of products in warehouses, and successfully import new batches across the border. In order to avoid shortages in certain regions of the Russian Federation caused by unlawful actions of resellers, AVPHARM launched a hotline.
