“The root cause of cardiovascular disease is almost always malnutrition. In the diet of a modern person, the permissible norms of simple carbohydrates and fats are significantly exceeded. The Sooperfoods team develops and manufactures alternative foods that help reduce the amount of nutrients that have become harmful in the diet. Currently, the Russian market is facing the problem of backward legislative regulation in the field of production of alternative products. This greatly hinders the development and promotion of proper nutrition. To solve this problem, like-minded people need to unite,” said Vasily Skurida, Managing Director of Index 0 (Sooperfoods brand).

The Union of Plant Based Producers was founded in February 2021. Its founders are EFKO Group (trademark Hi), BioFoodLab (brand Take a Bite), VolkoMolko, Noginsk Food Plant (trademark Solio). Thus, now the Union includes 16 companies.
