
For the period from September 25 to October 1, 2021, the World Organization for Animal HEALTH (OIE) received reports of the registration of 123 foci of especially dangerous animal diseases in 17 countries of the world. The corresponding notifications were published on the official website of the OIE.
African swine fever (ASF) has been reported in Hungary (6 outbreaks), Latvia (7), Poland (49), Romania (32) and South Africa (3).
Foci of highly pathogenic avian influenza have been identified in Finland (1), France (1), the Czech Republic (1), Sweden (1), Laos (1) and South Africa (6). The disease caused by the H5, H5N1 and H7N7 virus subtypes has been reported in farm birds and wild birds.
Foci of infectious nodular dermatitis continue to be recorded in Cambodia (2) and Nepal (2). In Namibia (2) contagious bovine pleuropneumonia has been reported. In Spain (3 outbreaks) - anthrax. Hemorrhagic disease of rabbits was again detected in Norway (1 focus) and Cuba (2). New cases of CORONAVIRUS infection registered
in the United Statescovid-19 (SARS-COV-2) (3 outbreaks). The disease has been identified in zoo animals (tiger and lion) and in pets (dogs and ferrets).
