EXPORT prices for poultry MEAT - general trends
Export prices for Russian poultry meat, according to AB-Center calculations based on the statistics of the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, were at the levels of 1,645.0 usd/t (121,734 RUB/t in terms of rubles on the date of foreign trade operations). Over the past six months (by November 2020), they have grown by 19.0% (in rubles - by 14.6%). During the year, prices also rose, but this growth is not so noticeable. In dollars, prices increased by 10.4%, in ruble terms - by 12.7%.

Export prices for Russian poultry meat in January-May 2021 amounted to 1,475.4 USD/t (in terms of rubles, 110,293 RUB/t). Thus, in relation to the same period in 2020, prices decreased by 3.6% (in rubles - increased by 2.7%).

Export prices for chicken meat
The average export prices for Russian-produced chicken meat in May 2021 were 1,618.1 USD/t (119,748 RUB/t). Over six months they grew by 18.4% (in rubles - by 14.0%), over the year - by 9.0% (in rubles - by 11.3%).
The average cost of exporting 1 ton of chicken meat from the Russian Federation, including offal, in January-May 2021, according to AB-Center calculations, was 1,455.5 USD (108,822 RUB). Over the year (against January-May 2020), the cost decreased by 4.6% (in rubles, it strengthened by 1.6%). At the same time, the dynamics of prices for individual cuts looked multidirectional. The overall decrease in value in DOLLAR terms was mainly due to by-products and chicken wings, whose share in the total supply is quite large.

The level and dynamics of prices for exported chicken meat by cuts in January-May 2021, according to AB-Center, looked as follows:
- Broiler carcass - 1,378.4 USD/t (103,064 RUB/t). Over the year, prices increased by 4.6% (in rubles - by 12.7%).
- Deboned chicken meat - 1,625.0 USD/t (121,429 RUB/t), +1.1% (+8.4%).
- Chicken halves and quarters - 1,324.7 USD/t (99,201 RUB/t), +29.7% (+39.0%),
- Chicken wings - 1,501.9 USD/t (112,147 RUB/t), -29.4% (-24.8%).
- Chicken backs, necks and tails - 600.8 USD/t (44,866 RUB/t), -0.2% (+4.6%),
- Chicken breasts - 2,060.2 USD/t (153,738 RUB/t), +38.8% (+48.1%).
- Chicken legs - 1,376.1 USD/t (102,769 RUB/t), +9.7% (+17.3%).
- Other chicken meat - 2,319.6 USD/t (173,385 RUB/t), +5.5% (+11.8%).
- Chicken liver - 1,264.3 USD/t (94,332 RUB/t), +26.8% (+36.3%).
- Other chicken by-products (excluding liver) - 1,360.8 USD/t (101,854 RUB/t), -2.1% (+3.7%).
Export prices for turkey meat
Export prices for Russian-made turkey meat in May 2021, according to AB-Center, amounted to 2,056.2 USD/t (152,170 RUB/t). Over six months they grew by 25.6% (in rubles - by 21.0%), over the year - by 19.6% (by 22.1%).
In January-May 2021, they were at the level of 1,858.9 USD/t (in terms of rubles, 138,642 RUB/t). Compared to the same period in 2020, prices decreased by 1.9% (in rubles, they strengthened by 3.1%).
The level and dynamics of prices for exported turkey meat by cuts in January-May 2021, according to AB-Center, looked as follows:
- Turkey carcasses - 2,064.1 USD/t (154,534 RUB/t). Over the year, prices decreased by 18.7% (in rubles by 16.0%).
- Deboned turkey meat - 3,118.4 USD/t (232,709 RUB/t), +4.7% (+10.7%).
- Cut-up turkey meat, not deboned - 1,580.8 USD/t (117,888 RUB/t), -22.2% (+27.5%).
- Turkey by-products - 2,011.0 USD/t (149,340 RUB/t), +0.3% (+3.4%).
Export prices for other types of poultry meat (goose, duck, guinea fowl)
In January-May 2021, the cost of 1 ton of other poultry meat exported from the Russian Federation, according to AB-Center calculations, amounted to 2,041.1 USD (152,064 RUB). In relation to January-May 2020, it increased by 80.7% (in rubles by 103.9%). The increase in cost is due not so much to a real increase in prices for these types of meat, but to the predominance of certain cuts or types of meat in total supplies for the two compared periods.
